DENGUE-PERLIS/BM 10 DENGUE CASES REPORTED IN PERLIS LAST WEEK

KANGAR,Ten new dengue cases were reported in Perlis in the week ended July 5, bringing the total to 110 cases so far.
Perlis Health Department director Dr Zaini Hussin in a statement here today said it was a decline of 18 cases or 14.06 per cent from 128 cases reported in the corresponding period last year. However, he said no death was reported in the state so far. Four dengue hotspots had been identified in the state, namely in Taman Mutiara and Taman Kemajuan (Utan Aji), Pekan Baru Kaki Bukit and Felda Chuping, but the situation was under control, he said. Nine other areas with high Aedes-breeding index were Felda Chuping, Kampung Guar Ujong Batu, Taman Kemajuan and Kampung Surau (Utan Aji), Kampung Ngulang and Taman Merpati (Kangar), Kampung Kenangan and Jalan Sungai Baru (Simpang
