DENGUE-CASE/BM A TOTAL OF 325 DENGUE FEVER CASES RECORDED NATIONWIDE

KUALA LUMPUR, A total of 325 dengue fever cases were reported nationwide over a 24-hour period since yesterday. According to the Health Ministry iDengue website, Kelantan recorded the highest cases of 136 followed by Selangor (94). The 124 areas listed as the latest dengue active localities throughout the country are in the districts of Petaling, Gombak, Hulu Langat, Seremban, Kota Baharu, Tumpat and Sibu. The commercial area that recorded the highest dengue cases is Section 7E B Commercial Centre in Petaling district, Selangor. It said these areas recorded an accumulative 111 cases between January and July this year.
DENGUE-CASES 2 (LAST) KUALA LUMPUR
The total dengue cases recorded nationwide for the first seven months of this year were 54,976, an increase from 15,400 cases during the same period last year. During the same period this year, 101 deaths due to dengue fever were recorded compared to 31 deaths for the same period last year.
